(After rereading through this I noticed in spite of everything (or maybe even because of it) even though I'm the one that suggested it I never gave either of my characters a big finish (or any finish). So I figured I might as well do, for a bit of closure.
)
Ooookaaay? *Daniel spoke unsurely* That was weird.
Castor: "And it's not over yet."
*Castor had crept behind Daniel without Daniel even noticing*
Dammit... I got distracted too easily!Castor: "My patience has run out. If the choice regarding your life is too touch-and-go for a decision then how about I use hers as the bargaining chip?"
*Castor rest an arm over Daniel's shoulder, still standing behind him, to point towards Crystal*
You son of a...
*Castor raised his finger from pointing and shook it from side to side*
Castor: "Ah, ah, no further delays. Choose."
Crystal can handle herself just fine, even against Castor she at least probably doesn't need to worry about dying, even if she couldn't win. But she's still recovering from that wound I gave her... and I've already dragged her through my affairs.Alright.
Castor: "Alright?"
I've gotta end this now, myself.Alright, you win.
*Castor smirked as he stepped back from Daniel, allowing Daniel to turn around and face Castor*
Castor: "I do hope you're not thinking something foolish like just killing me and then running away. With my current host dead I'm free to possess pretty much anyone in a radius of several hundred yards. So it's either you or... someone else. And even if it were to be someone else, do you really think I wouldn't come after you too?"
Don't worry, I wasn't thinking of anything like that.
Castor: "Good. In that case, you know what to do."
*Castor stood relaxed with his arms out*
*Daniel nodded in acceptance then drew out his sword and sliced diagonally through Castor's host body*
*Castor smirked one last time before his lifeless body collapsed in two halves*
*Daniel took a sharp intake of breath and then doubled over*
*Daniel started to laugh manically*
Castor (through Daniel): "Well done boy, finally you managed to become just one life in a sea of existence. Welcome to the team, kid."
*Daniel's body straightened up and continued laughing, even more boisterously than before with his eyes wide*
*Daniel's left eye started to fill up with tar-like blackness as Castor's had been, the proof that Castor had taken over and it was he who was laughing*
*Castor's laughter came to an abrupt halt as his eyes shot open even more, but not with sinister glee but surprised panic*
*Daniel's right eye had gone from slowly filling up like the left had to returning to normal as the blackness seemed to dissipate, the left eye remaining the solid black it had turned*
A drop in the ocean? Just another member of the team? Tch, this little adventure has made me too bored of such an existence.
*Daniel's left hand rose and in a swift movement plucked the left eye from its socket, snapping the optic nerve and spilling blood as part of his eyelid tore from the trauma*
This was my body first, if you want to share it you're gonna do it on my terms.
*Daniel opened his mouth wide and slipped his tongue out. He brought the eye he held between his thumb, and fore and middle fingers up to his tongue, as if to lick it. He wrapped his tongue around the eyeball, letting go of it from with his hand as he proceeded to swallow it whole*
*Daniel smiled and open-mouthed smile and stuck his tongue out, as if proving he no longer had his own tainted eyeball in his mouth*
You may have lived thousands of lives through hundreds of perspectives, but you clearly never developed an ego as strong as mine. No, maybe it's because you lost your own sense of self so long ago that by wanting to hold onto mine I was the one able to take charge.
*Daniel turned and looked back at Crystal, then at the door that still stood open from Castor's reappearance*
Sorry, but it looks like I have to go somewhere where there's no one else around to finish this properly.
*he removed his ring and tossed it to Crystal*
Here, you keep this. Hopefully you won't need it but it's not charged right now, so don't do anything anymore stupid than usual until it's had a full night's moonlight to recharge, huh?
*with that said Daniel left*
(Also, I decided to leave this post open to allow anyone else to do so, too. I doubt anyone comes here often enough to mind even if they think me doing so is a bad idea
